Born and raised in Bandung, West Java, Budi Gunadi Sadikin obtained his degree from Institute Technology of Bandung (ITB), majoring in Nuclear Physics. He took some prestigious insurance certification and banking programme abroad. Before being called for in government sector, he spent most of his career life as a banker which brought him to be the Director of Bank Mandiri in 2013. Before being appointed as the Minister of Health of Republic Indonesia in 2020, he was the Special Staff for the Minister of BUMN and the Vice Minister of BUMN.

Sandiaga Uno is an Indonesian businessman, investor and politician who is the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, and was the Deputy Governor of Jakarta. Born in 1969, he graduated from Wichita State University in 1990 and from George Washington University with an MBA in 1992. He worked for several companies and rose in rank before founding his own business, which led him to become one of the richest people in Indonesia. In 2015, he resigned from his companies to join Gerindra. Upon his candidacy as vice president, he also renounced his membership in Prabowo’s Gerindra as part of the deal with coalition parties.

Andrew W. Lo is the Charles E. and Susan T. Harris Professor at the MIT Sloan School of Management, director of the MIT Laboratory for Financial Engineering, a principal investigator at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, and an affiliated faculty member of the MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He is also an external faculty member of the Santa Fe Institute and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research.
He has published numerous articles in finance and economics journals (see https://alomit.wpengine.com), and has authored several books including Adaptive Markets: Financial Evolution at the Speed of Thought, The Econometrics of Financial Markets, A Non-Random Walk Down Wall Street, Hedge Funds: An Analytic Perspective, and The Evolution of Technical Analysis. He is currently co-editor of the Annual Review of Financial Economics and advisor to the Journal of Investment Management and the Journal of Portfolio Management.

Philip Yeo graduated in Applied Science (Industrial Engineering) from University of Toronto under a Colombo Plan scholarship. He obtained his Master of Science in System Engineering from University of Singapore and MBA from Harvard University under a Fulbright scholarship. In addition, his contributions in Economic Development in Singapore and Asia has conferred him honorary PhDs from University of Toronto, Karolinska Institute in Sweden, National University of Singapore, Monash University, and Imperial College London.
He started serving in Singapore government sector in 1970. He served in various appointments in the Ministry of Defence, then became the chairman of Economic Development Board in 1986. He is a visionary person that was shown during his time in EDB when he redirected its focus from the traditional fields to new areas of business.
He is not only valuable in the government sector, but also in some private companies. He accepted many awards and some of them were granted because of his initiatives in enhancing or fostering good bilateral ties between Singapore and other countries. In his career in the Government of Singapore, developing people has been his passion that was shown by giving government funded scholarships to thousands of Singaporean.

Gordon studied Medicine at Oxford University and St Thomas’s Hospital, London, where he also gained a PhD in thermoregulation/fever. Following postgraduate medical training posts (including Royal Postgraduate Medical School, Hammersmith Hospital), he held junior faculty posts at Yale Medical School (Infectious Diseases and Pathology (Immunology) Depts), and the Howard Hughes Institute of Molecular Immunology at Yale. He joined Edinburgh Medical School in 1984, heading the Molecular Immunology Group, and in 1990 became the inaugural Florey Professor of Molecular Medicine at the University of Sheffield, where he was also Faculty Research Dean, Member of University Council, and Director of the Division of Genomic Medicine. With interests in inflammation, immunology, cytokines, therapeutics, biomedicines, public health and genetics, he has published ~ 400 research articles, and govt reports on medicines, vaccines and public health. He was Knighted for services to the Public Health in 2007, and listed in the Science Council’s ‘Top 100′ working scientists in the UK’ in 2014. In 2016 he was awarded the Sir James Black Award from the British Pharmacological Society for the ‘Original Identification of TNF as a Therapeutic Target in Human Arthritis’. He is a Past-President of the International Cytokine Society and has received honorary doctorates from the Universities of Edinburgh and Sheffield. He was co- founding editor of the international research journal ‘CYTOKINE’, advisory editor to the Human Genome Organisation (HUGO) Journal. He has given the Croonian Lecture at the Royal College of Physicians of London, Weatherall Lecture at University of Oxford, Harry Bostrom Medal Lecture at Karolinska Institute, and Faculty Lecture at University of Geneva. He has lectured extensively at many international universities, professional societies and government agencies, including NIH (USA), FDA (USA), NCI (USA), Institut Pasteur (France), Biopolis (Singapore), Paul Ehrlich Institute (Germany), Sanger Centre Cambridge, Trinity College Dublin.
Advisory / Leadership: Gordon served on many SABs and funding panels in the UK, EU and US, including MRC, EPSRC Govt Foresight Groups, and Wellcome Trust. Previously Chair of the UK’s ‘Committee on Safety of Medicines’ (and of its Biologicals and Vaccines Sub-committee), he was inaugural Chair of the UK’s ‘Commission on Human Medicines’ (CHM, 2005-2012) before becoming Chair of the MHRA (national regulator of all UK medicines and medical devices). He was Chair of the Secretary-of-State’s ‘Expert Scientific Group on Phase One Clinical Trials’ following a clinical trial disaster in 2006 (TGN1412, the report made 22 recommendations to improve safety of first-in-human clinical trials). From 2002 to 2009 he was Chair of the UK’s ‘National Biological Standards Board’, overseeing the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC, WHO Centre), including setting up the National Stem Cell Bank, vCJD reagent repository and supplying ~95% of the world’s biological standards for diagnostics, biological medicines and vaccines. He was an advisor on Biological Medicines to the EU, and was Chair of the UK’s Scientific Pandemic Influenza Advisory Committee (SPI, 2006-10). In 2009-10, he co-chaired the UK Govt’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) to tackle the H1N1 swine flu pandemic, accelerating procurement and distribution of antivirals, the approval of a specific vaccine and establishing a clinical data group. In 2010 he reviewed the UK’s Organ Donor Register, correcting coding errors. From 2015-2019 he was Chair of the UK’s Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), during the launch of the new Pirbright Institute for Animal Health. He chaired the Academic Health Science Centres of Imperial College London (2012-16), and Trinity College Dublin (2013-2020), and the MRC/NIHR National Phenome Centre at Imperial. He was Principal of St Hilda’s College, Oxford (2014-2021), a Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, Board member of OU’s Medical Sciences Division, and is an Honorary Fellow of both St Peter’s College and St Hilda’s College, Oxford. He is a Board member of the UK’s Foundation for Science and Technology, the Advisory Board of UPenn’s ‘Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics’ (ITMAT), and UBC Vancouver’s Translational Medicine Board. He is currently President of the ‘United in Diversity Foundation’ (focused on implementing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals), a Senior Research Fellow of NDORMS (Oxford Medical School), co-founder of Sitokine Ltd, and Chair of the International SAB of Silence Therapeutics.

Tuti Hadiputranto is a well-respected lawyer and one of the founding partners of Hadiputranto, Hadinoto, and Partners (HHP), or Baker MacKenzie Indonesia. Besides, she is the Chair of the Board of Directors of PT. Bentang Alam Indonesia, as well as the Chairman of the Capital Market Lawyers’ Professional Standards Board and Head of the Research and Development for the Capital Market Lawyers’ Association, where she is responsible for reviewing drafts of various securities regulations. Ms. Hadiputranto was the first lawyer to be registered with Bapepam to carry out capital market work in Indonesia. She has since been heavily involved in mergers and acquisitions and debt and corporate restructuring work for telecommunications and other major Indonesian companies.

Curtis S. Chin, a Milken Institute Asia fellow, has served as a trustee of World Education Services of New York and is a former U.S. ambassador to the Asian Development Bank.
