Alpesh Shah leads Boston Consulting Group’s India office. He has extensive experience in the insurance, financial services, telecommunications, and technology sectors in Asia, specifically India. He obtained his BS in computer science from L. D. College of Engineering, Ahmedabad. Then he pursued his MBA at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Across the Asia Pacific region, Alpesh has assisted a variety of banks, finance and insurance companies, and telecommunication on topics including segment-specific strategy development, portfolio analysis, new business launch, breakout growth strategy development, pricing, channel effectiveness, operational efficiency enhancement, cost management and reduction, post-merger integration, business divestiture, and implementation support.

Andre Uhl holds an MA in New Media from Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan, and a BA in Visual Studies and East Asia Studies from FU Berlin, Germany. He received his doctorate degree from Harvard University’s Department of Visual and Environmental Studies (recently renamed to the Department of Art, Film and Visual Studies) with a Secondary Field in Science, Technology and Society. He is executive member at the Council on Extended Intelligence (CXI), a think and action tank co-hosted by the MIT Media Lab and the IEEE Standards Association promoting principles of responsible participant design, control of data rights, and holistic metrics of prosperity for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
At CXI, Andre leads CXI Labs, a global action research incubator that fosters new forms of dialogue and co-creation in public policy, corporate settings and community activism. Andre’s research at the Human Dynamics Group will explore and develop new approaches to open-innovation that demonstrate how CXI Labs can empower community guardianship in a broad range of contexts. Besides his engagement with CXI and the Human Dynamics Group, Andre also chairs the IEEE Earth Lab and serves as the Technology and Innovation Fellow of the Planetary Health Alliance. Previously, he served as a research assistant at the Harvard-MIT Ethics and Governance of AI Initiative, a reviewer at the Technology and Public Purpose Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, and founding member and co-chair of the Sustainable Peace Working Group at Harvard Divinity School.

ELKHONON GOLDBERG

Elkhonon Goldberg (born 1946) is a neuropsychologist and cognitive neuroscientist known for his work in hemispheric specialization and the “novelty-routinization” theory. He is currently a Clinical Professor of Neurology at New York University School of Medicine, Diplomate of The American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology, and Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of SharpBrains, an online brain fitness center. He offers post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology at Fielding Graduate University. He is also the Founding Director of Luria Neuroscience Institute (LNI), an organization founded with the purpose of advancing research and disseminating knowledge about the brain and the mind. He describes himself as an atheist “with agnostic tendencies”. He studied at Moscow State University with the great neuropsychologist Alexander Luria and moved to the United States in 1974. At Moscow State University, he studied psychology and mathematics and was among the early proponents of the discipline known today as computational neuroscience. In the United States, his research has focused on the function of the frontal lobes, hemispheric specialization, memory, cognitive aging, and general theory of functional cortical organization.

Dr. Ian Hudson has a leading role on the team in areas that include optimizing clinical studies and strengthening regulatory systems in Africa and other low-resource regions, particularly for malaria, polio, and COVID-19 drugs.
He was a practicing pediatrician before joining SmithKline Beecham in 1989 to work in research and development. In 2001, he joined the UK government’s Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Service (MHRA), where he served as director of licensing and then CEO. Ian was the UK delegate to the scientific committee of the European Medicines Agency’s Management Board, CHMP, later becoming its vice chair. He was also an honorary senior lecturer in clinical pharmacology at the University of London and served as chair of the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities.
He earned his medical degree, with a specialty in neonatal hematology, from London Hospital Medical College, and has postgraduate qualifications in pediatrics and pharmaceutical medicine. In 2020, he was awarded an OBE for Services to Healthcare, received a Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine President’s medal for contribution to pharmaceutical medicine, and was named a Global Fellow in Medicines Development by the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine.

David Ho is an AIDS researcher, physician, and virologist who has made a number of scienti? c contributions to the understanding and treatment of HIV infection. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology and MD from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Subsequently, he did his clinical training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at UCLA School of Medicine and Massachusetts General Hospital. He was a resident in internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in 1981 when he came into contact with some of the ?rst reported cases of what was later identi? ed as AIDS. In the mid 1990s, his research team conducted a series of elegant human studies to elucidate the dynamics of HIV replication in vivo which was the turning point in the epidemic that an automatic death sentence was transformed into a manageable disease. For the past decade and a half, he has shifted his research focus to developing strategies to prevent HIV transmission. He has published more than 500 research papers as of February 2020. And championed the combination anti-retroviral therapy. He is not only a member of Committee of 100, but also leading a team, funded by Jack Ma, to look for a vaccine for the COVID-19 virus. In addition, he has received 14 honorary doctorates, including those from Columbia University and Tsinghua University. In 2001, he was presented with the Presidential Citizens Medal by President Clinton.

Through her entrepreneurial spirit, she created the One Kalbe Spirit Environment, expanded the international and biopharma divisions, and built a digital health care ecosystem. She previously served as the Marketing Director of Ethical and OTC Businesses and as Director for Corporate Strategy and Business Development. She started her career in 1987 as a food formulator at PT. Bukit Manikam Sakti and became the CEO of Kalbe Nutritionals Division in 1994, serving until 2014. Irawati was listed on the Forbes Indonesia Inspiring Women of 2017 and the Forbes Asia Top 50 Businesswomen of 2013 lists. She was named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 Indonesia and represented Indonesia at EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017. She holds an MS in Food Science from Cornell University.
